Somatic healing is a holistic practice that acknowledges the deep connection between your body and mind. It recognizes that our bodies hold onto experiences and emotions, often manifesting as physical sensations or patterns. By tuning into these bodily sensations, we can access and release stored tension, facilitating profound healing and transformation.

My Approach: A Journey from Personal Healing to Guiding Others

My path to becoming a somatic practitioner was shaped by personal experiences of trauma and healing. As a child, I faced loneliness and the pain of losing close friends, which led me to dissociate and seek solace in reflection. In my teenage years, I endured further losses and struggled with unhealthy coping mechanisms, including substance use and panic attacks. A pivotal moment came when I survived a near-fatal car accident, prompting a profound spiritual awakening and a commitment to healing.

I began practicing yoga, changed my diet, and embarked on solo travels, each step bringing me closer to inner peace. A transformative experience in a Swedish forest allowed me to reconnect with nature and my body, leading to the release of deep-seated pain and the cessation of panic attacks. These experiences revealed the power of somatic practices, inspiring me to study and share this healing modality with others.

In our sessions, I integrate movement, meditation, breathwork, and expressive arts, drawing from both Western science and ancient wisdom. This approach helps you reconnect with your body's innate wisdom, facilitating self awareness, emotional release, and deep healing.

Why Somatic Healing?

Our bodies often store unresolved emotions and traumas, which can manifest as physical discomfort or emotional distress. Somatic healing provides a pathway to access and release these stored experiences, promoting a sense of wholeness and well-being. By engaging in this practice, you can develop a deeper connection to yourself, enhance self-awareness, and cultivate resilience in the face of life's challenges.

What to Expect

In a somatic session, we start with grounding practices to help you arrive in the present moment this could be breathwork, body awareness, or connecting with sensations in your body.

From there, the session unfolds organically. I don’t come with an agenda; instead, I follow what’s ready to surface in you that day. Using techniques like mirroring, I reflect back what’s happening in your body gestures, sensations, or subtle movements and we explore their deeper meaning together.

We might engage in shadow work to uncover hidden parts of yourself, inner child work to address unmet needs, or movement and voice activation to release stored energy. The session is always guided by what feels active and alive in you at that moment.

The goal is to help you connect with your body’s innate wisdom, process what’s ready to be released, and move toward a sense of wholeness and lightness.
